I'm from New Hampshire, and as far as I know, we never called ourselves (or where called by others) any certain nick name. Although, we had a clever name for people from Massachusetts. The Abbreviation of Massachusetts is "Mass". Well, using my better judgement, I won't post what we put after Mass.....

Any other states that have clever names (like Texas and Texans)?

i cant help but think thats been offensive to small people too

Some people get around the awkward plurals by using the state nickname, for example, Hawkeyes for Iowans.
