Hi guys,
I am in the middle of doing a job for somone and the computer just won't go past post. I can't access post or anything. Sometimes it will fire up and no worries, then it decides to not go pass post. I'm thinking it may be his motherboard is on it's way out but I want to save the computer if I can!
Any ideas would be helpful.

It may be the motherboard battery (CMOS/BIOS). It is a $4 item that may straighten out your problem. If the BIOS does not remember your setting it won't know what to do during startup.

CMOS battery it was. It was the simpliest thing but oh well, I can remember that for next time. The computer is running as good as gold.
