Hi,

I use yahoo as my e-mail account.

I have a lot of old e-mails that I'd like to delete, but would like to have a copy or back-up of the e-mails in case I ever want them again.

Anyone know if this is possible (without having to open and forward each individual e-mail)?

I've asked yahoo, but their customer service isn't too hot...

Many thanks,

Richard

Are you using web-based E-mail or are you using a POP E-mail client to read your mail?

John

Hi John,
I think I'm using web-based e-mail - it's free, anyway (which is pretty amazing, really).
Sorry, don't know what POP3 is!

Examples of A POP e-mail clients are Outlook, Outlook Express, etc. (non webmail based)
Obviously, you would just be downloading and saving your mail on your system with a POP client.
There are third party programs you can use with POP e-mail clients to access your free Yahoo account.
If you post what you most likely already have in the way of a pop mail client, we'll help you out with that.
(i.e If you have Internet Explorer, then you already have Outlook Express).

Thanks for the feedback.
Sorry I'm pretty ignorant with this...
I have Int. Explorer 6.0.
I've never used outlook express... I've simply set up my homepage as my.yahoo.com, and I get to it by double clicking the Int. Explorer icon.

I access yahoo for e-mails, but don't know anything about downloading and saving them...
thanks...
