i have a emachine t4060 that needs a motherboard replaced. it is a FIC VG31 and is a mPGA478B socket.
if i am not mistaking the processor is a P4 2.0Ghz, 512Kb, 400Mhz, Northwood processor. with PC2100 memory.
do i need to find a p4 mothboard that supports the northwood or can i just use any prescott?? please give me some advice. thanks.

any soclket 478 motherboard that supports the prescott will also support the northwood core


have a look at Asus P4P800-E deluxe & Abit IC7-G both excellent boards
