I have a client who wants pix of herself, to which she wishes to have additional images layered to.

I have her many pix in Photo Impression.. and the few pix that she wants edited into her pix... What software do I need to combine the two pix?..

Hi Don.
I use Adobe's Photoshop for all my still image stuff but it's pricey and probably something you wouldn't be interested in.
I can't speak for PhotoPlus6 from experience, but it looks like it should be satisfactory for your intended purpose.
It's freeware and you can download it here if you want. At the top of the page you can download the "PhotoPlus6 Companion", a 120 page pdf tutorial, to judge for yourself before installing the program.

Hi there,

Before I made the jump to Photoshop, I used Gimp for image manipulation and Inkscape for dealing with Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG).

I mianly used Paint.NET , for working with photo images, it's weighs less than the major programs, and has many of their basic capabilities. If you work with images frequently, but not enough to pay a hefty price for one of the Commercial apps, I recommend giving these three a look.

Hope this helps,
