I just scanned my computer with Spybot for the first time in a few weeks. I'm not sure about some of the "problems" Spybot found...
Windows Security Center.AntivirusDisableNotify and Windows Security Center.FirewallDisableNotify
The additional information says that I may have disabled notifications in the Windows Security Center and that if my antivirus and firewall are up and running, I can ignore those detections.
I guess my antivirus and firewall are ready and working. I'm using a trial version of Norton Internet Security and the System Status screen says that antivirus and firewall are on. I don't recall having disabled anything. Should I be concerned at all?
Also, why does Spybot reference Windows Security Center when Norton is the security I use? Are they the same thing?
This is a brand new computer and I'm still getting used to XP, so I'm still a lil confused about some of the functions.

Thanks for the link.
I still don't know why Spybot would pick up on this...I don't recall having disabled anything. Security Center says everything is updated and working.

You said you are using a trial version of Norton Internet Security. The changes probably were made during installation/configuration of NIS without you realizing you allowed them. Thus they were flagged by Spybot.

Ok, that might be it.

So I probably don't need to delete those "problems"?

To ignore these, launch Spybot, go to File Menu > Mode and select Advanced mode.
Select Settings > Ignore products > All Products Tab, scroll down and place a check mark next to all entries for Windows Security Center. You can also use the Security.sbi Tab to do the same.
