The United Nations doesn't recognize the concept of illegal immigration - and refuses to use that term when referring to foreigners who flout U.S. immigration laws by crossing the border without documentation...

neither does Mexico(sarcasm). they're seriously abusing illegal immigrants that enter Mexico

The level of brutality Central American migrants face in Mexico was apparent Monday, when police conducting a raid for undocumented migrants near a rail yard outside Mexico City shot to death a local man, apparently because his dark skin and work clothes made officers think he was a migrant.

Walls Will Not Help Solve Migratory Problem: President Vicente Fox

He added that his government will not cease its efforts to defend its fellow countrymen and will continue to defend and demand full respect for human rights.

The border Mexico shares with the United States is characterized by economic, social and commercial activity that translates into the daily crossing of over a million persons whose friendship, brotherhood and spirit of work serve to consolidate a productive relationship,” he explained.

This morning, elected members of the Human Rights Council unanimously chose Mexico to preside over this council.

Humane Borders, To Print Maps Of Border And Directions For Illegal Aliens

A Tucson, Arizona based group called Humane Borders is printing maps of the border and directions for illegal aliens to follow to illegally enter the United States. The maps are to be distributed by Mexico's human rights agency throughout the country. Humane Borders used software donated to them by ESRI for geographic mapping. Now I don't know about you, but this US based group should instantly be cited with aiding and abetting illegal aliens. On top of that their group should be disbanded. Also ESRI should be boycotted because they are complicit in this.

The Senate yesterday easily approved an immigration bill that allows 10 million illegal aliens to become citizens, doubles the flow of legal immigration each year and will cost U.S. taxpayers an estimated $54 billion over the next 10 years.

QUOTE
Those senators who voted against the immigration bill said it should have left out the "amnesty" provisions and instead focus solely on securing the border and enforcing the immigration laws that have been on the books for decades.

Here are major points of the bill:
Amnesty: 10 million illegals can apply for citizenship.
Border security: Adds 370 miles of triple-wire fencing and 500 miles of vehicle barriers; adds 3,000 Border Patrol agents this year
Employers: No penalties for businesses that hired illegals

Mexico president calls immigration bill historic .
QUOTE
Mexican President Vicente Fox on Thursday called the U.S. Senate's landmark vote on immigration policy a "monumental step forward" that marks a historic moment in the relationship between Mexico and the U.S.

"It is a moment that millions of families have been hoping for. This is the moment that millions of people have been working for," he told a joint session of the California Legislature. "Today's historic vote is a monumental step forward, but we recognize that there is more debate ahead."

Millions of illegal aliens, that is and thier liberal socialist counterparts.

PHOENIX -- Sheriff Joe Arpaio thinks he has found the answer to the problem of illegal immigrants in the United States. It's not the National Guard. And it's not amnesty. "Fuhgeddaboudit!" growled Arpaio, his Boston accent unbleached by the desert sun. The sheriff's solution: Lock 'em up.

....."If you get caught by immigration, you get a free ride back to Mexico in an air-conditioned bus," Arpaio said. "A free ride? Not in my county. I'm going to put them on chain gangs, in tents and feed them bologna sandwiches."

Hard to love this immigration bill

QUOTE
*The bill supposedly would protect American workers by ensuring that new immigrants would not take away jobs. However, the bill's definition of ''United States worker'' includes temporary foreign guest workers, so the protection is meaningless.

*It extends the Davis-Bacon Act's requirement for the payment of ''prevailing wage'' to all temporary guest workers. That puts them ahead of Americans, who have this protection only on federal job sites.

*Foreign guest farm workers, admitted under the bill, cannot be ''terminated from employment by any employer ... except for just cause.'' In contrast, American ag workers can be fired for any reason.

It appears the powers that be want this problem to continue. They benefit from cheap labor and they control the politicians. Whats good for the multi-national corporations is good for the rest of us. All the polls say that 80% of the country say-secure the border, yet the border is still unsecure and there are no concrete plans to slam the border shut. Thats because 20% benefit from the border not being secure and the rest of us better get used to it because they determine what happens in this country.
quietman7
Inside scope has it that there is a political struggle going on in Congress between the moderate and conservative Repubs. The moderates are siding with the Dems, especially in the Senate and they don't want any real border enforcement. The extra bennys to the "new hispanic citizens" are nothing more than pandering for votes.

They only way to stop this bill is for the conservatives in the House to stand fast and not let it pass.
seafox14
Absolutely right! I wonder what would happen if the govenors of the border states ordered their state's national guard to secure the boarder of their state with Mexico and Washington be damned?

RFID Could Aid Border Security
QUOTE
For the past eight months, the Department of Homeland Security has been testing radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to keep track of who enters and exits the country. But now that officials are suggesting a widespread rollout of the technology, a DHS subcommittee is worried that the privacy concerns outweigh the technology's benefits.
For weeks now the libs have opposed sending the National Guard to the border saying that technology should be used instead. Then when they see that technology, they have concerns.

There is no right to privacy written in the Constitution. Its a bogus arguement made by liberal judges and used by left-wingers promote various agenda issues. Now they are concerned about the privacy of illegals. Doesn't seem to matter when the illegals invade the privacy of American citizen homeowners when tresspassing on their property along the border states.

Study: 1 million sex crimes by illegals

QUOTE
Based on a one-year in-depth study, a researcher estimates there are about 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States who have had an average of four victims each.

Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute in Atlanta analyzed 1,500 cases from January 1999 through April 2006 that included serial rapes, serial murders, sexual homicides and child molestation committed by illegal immigrants.

The worst part of it all is, the fact that the more heinous the crime,
the higher the incidences are.

Again the most relevant point of many Americans, including yours truly
regarding the illegal alien issue is, that when they are allowed to cross the
U.S. border willy-nilly, forgoing any checkpoints, none are screened what so ever!!!

And the U.S. Senate would like to grant blanket amnesty???

All in the name of votes.....

QUOTE
And the U.S. Senate would like to grant blanket amnesty???
All in the name of votes

Yep. That's the crux of it all. VOTES = ELECTION TO OFFICE = POWER

Senate Repubs fear losing the inroads they have made with the hispanic vote. If hispanic citizens swing in the Dem's direction as 90% of the African-American voters, they will probably never win another national election.

A combination of all minorities makes a majority block. That's the track we are headed toward in politics and Repubs are well aware of this. The left wingers will take all control of government and the socialist agenda will be here to stay. Part of that agenda is open borders.

Immigration and Social Disintegration

QUOTE
Cicero, one of Rome’s great statesmen, in his dialog the “Commonwealth,” noted that major influxes of foreign populations can be disastrous to a republic:

In the “Republic” Cicero observed:

“…...The commonwealth, then, is the people’s affair; and the people is not every group of men, associated in any manner, but is the coming together of a considerable number of men who are united by a common agreement about law and rights and by the desire to participate in mutual advantages.…”

The explaination in relation to the illegal alien issue in present day America...
QUOTE
Note that Mexico is, and always has been, under dictatorial government of one variety or another. Nominally a federal republic since 1917, Mexico has been under the thumb of PRI (Institutional Revolutionary Party) socialist bosses with the exception of the current president. But no matter who is in control, Mexico remains a socialistic, collectivized, and therefore impoverished nation in which political rule and corruption have seldom been parted.

Thus Mexicans, legal and illegal, come into the United States with a different language and as alien a set of ideas about the rule of law and social customs as they might had they arrived from another planet. Confronting this challenge, we thumb our noses at the historical lessons from past civilizations. We willingly abandon the language and the laws and customs that produced the success of the United States and conform our language, laws, and customs to those of the invaders.

There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language…and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.” — Theodore Roosevelt

I was wanting to start a topic about something I had seen a little over week and it applies to Immigration so may be thats why that one didn't get posted.

I was wondering how people felt about this guy named Mike Wilson. May be you guys have heard about him maybe not.

He was from an Indian Reservation that borders Mexico. He has been leaving water for and giving medical attention to illegal migrants. The number has rose from 100 migrants a day to 1500 a day thru an individual spot on the border that is also on his reservation since he has started putting out the water. He was contacted by the U.S. Attorneys office and was told to cease and deciest and if he did not he would be kicked off the reservation. So he left the reservation and continues to help the migrants.

I was wanting to know wheather people felt this guy was a "Good Samaratian" or if he was Aiding and Embedding.

#1 the guy in my opinion should be arrested.

#2 The border patrol should set up a substation right there and keep transport vehicles there and keep shipping these migrants back.

Assimilation is the key to any successful immigration policy, and no country has succeeded in assimilating immigrants as well as the United States. Turning immigrants into Americans didn't happen by accident but was the result of a comprehensive national effort called Americanization.

Sadly, Americanization has given way to an insidious multiculturalism. In the mid-1980s, the late Alistair Cooke, himself an immigrant, lamented the "general movement in the United States to unmelt the melting pot, to break down the goulash of the pot into its ethnic ingredients: to return, in short, to the immigrant compounds which Teddy Roosevelt was determined to fuse into one nation."

Ask yourselves this. Do you want the great United states of America to turn into France?
We all are aware of what mass immigration has done to that country.
And other European countries are facing similar problems.
