Here's a couple for you to check out.
They're all free.

Mozilla
Opera
Flashpeak SlimBrowser
Avant Browser
Netscape

Another (free) browser :
maxthon

I run / have tried FireFox (my favorite but unfortunately not so fast anymore lately (hugh resources use)), Opera, IE, Avant and Maxthon
Opera claims to be the fastest, and for my experience, this statement is right smile.gif

You can see some results by a comparer here :
Browser Speed Comparisons

But.. give it a try yourself, compare what you on your PC experience as the fastest, because there are as many opnions and experiences as there are systems wink.gif

(In browsers where you can choose "skins/themes", use the 'simple' ones, they use less resources)

Opera is a decent browser but there are "some" sites that still will not render correctly with it, like the mskb.
Of course, it's a MS site so i'm not surprised. smile.gif
Been through most of the versions and use Opera 9, beta 2 as a secondary browser right at the moment.

im using opera now, and it has trouble opening emails in gmail. any ideas?

I use nothing but opera. It is lighting fast, and blocks pop ups like no other.

I use Opera too. It is super-fast, and is highly customizable. Unlike Firefox, Opera blocks under-popup ads too.

Hi Thenoose smile.gif

Try if identifying Opera as f.e. Mozilla, solves this problem on the gmail site :
Tools > Preferences > tab "advanced" > Network > browser Identification --> Identify as Mozilla or MSIE > OK

Good luck smile.gif
