Hi, i really hope someone can help me. My brother's computer has a BTC IDE5216CO combo drive, and i went to install a game and the drive acts like nothing is inserted. Drive is getting power, ejects fine, but won't play anything, ranging from music cd's to games.

Getting desperate, please help!

Does the computer recognize the drive. I am having the same sort of problem.

Does bios see the drive? What OS is on the machine? If it is any flavor of Windows, does device manager see the dirve?
