I know that alot of people think the FF is better than I.E., I beleive that too, but theres one problem; sometimes I want to turn off the firewall for FF how do I do this?

There is no firewall "for" Firefox. It's just a browser. Could you give some more details of the problem you're experiencing? Is Firefox getting blocked or webpages getting blocked, or just what exactly?

Also what operating system are you running?

Win XP Home SP2 HP. I mean when I downloaded FF I cant run certain programs which need all firewalls to be off. And when I delete FF then the program starts.

You probably can't run some online applications that require ActiveX. Simply load those sites in Internet Explorer. Firefox makes no significant changes to your system. Just run Internet Explorer when you need it for specific sites.

Not sites; programs. ActiveX only is on sites I think.

Hi Nat Sci, Welcome. Regarding your problem, some of the terms used are confusing so I'll run through them here so that we can help you.

Download. Means to get the setup program from a web site and save it to your hard drive.

Install. Means to set up the program so it will run when you click on it.

Open. Means to make the program run when you click on it, and

Close. Means to finish using the program.

Delete. Means to get rid of the program. Can't be used any more.

Firewall. A program that blocks hackers and nasties from attacking your computer while online.

You should always have 1 Firewall and 1 AntiVirus running while you are online, together with lots of antispyware. If you have to close your firewall in order to install a program, you should do this offline.

Yeah... I kind of knew that, its just a certain game that uses it's anti hacking system which wont work if you have a firewall on. So my main question is does FF have a firewall?

Already answered that. Firefox is not a firewall not does it include one/ You've admitted in you other thread you're infected. You need to get rid of what's affecting your system to solve this problem.

Short answer is No. FF is only a browser. Playing games online without an operational firewall would be very dangerous.
