U.S. District Judge James Ware decided Google won't have to disclose samples of searches,denying the gov't's request. The judge did rule that Google has to turn over to the Justice Department the Internet addresses of 50,000 randomly selected Web sites.
The data would be used to defend a law designed to shield children from Internet pornography by the Justice Department.

This is an important victory for internet privacy, and we should all thank Google for taking a stand when other search engines simply complied with a DOJ request for information in it's search for data to support government censorship.
It is unfortunate that Google did not take the same kind of stance in regards to its operations in mainland China.
