Does anyone kno of any really good hardware resources were i can read up on the basics?... How stuff works, different hardware advances through time, Different types of technology being used in computers now a days. Im looking for general info to get a good background knowlege, not reveiews or help with specific questions.
Thank you for all of the help.
P.S. - something geared towards a begginer would be helpfull... not like talking to a child but, something that at least puts things in lamens terms or explains all the fancy words that get thrown out there. thank you.

I was looking for the same, luciusad2004.
I ended up doing a chronological list of historical events in the "computer world"
Then googled various terms, adding links or copy/pasting excerpts into notepads titled
various terms, like ATA/100 133 SATA HDs. etc.
Still doing that, in fact.

Here's some links that have helped me along:

Excellent selection, Phawgg. I refer to many of these quite often. These should be in any reference section of one's bookmarks.
