hi guys. I added a thread afew weeks ago bout me connecting a psu. I used all advice given and was great help cheers. When I tried to turn the computer on though you can hear the computer working but there is no picture coming through to the monitor. Everything was connected up properly and Im sure the monitor works.
Does anyone know why this could be, could it be to do with the psu connections.
It is an older computer so it may be that it is the computer thats broke not related to the new psu, if it is the computer does anyone no what it might be.
thanks

Try re-seating the video card. Sometimes the back of the card can lift up just enough to lose contact. Since you were working in there tat could be your problem.

I agree with Acklan. By far the most common problem when messing around with stuff inside the case is connections. After many problems with this in the past, I always triple check mine (and advise others to do the same).
After that will come static discharge problems - but that's a whole other topic!

I just had a "no signal" proble with Claire's computer. Turned out that the PCI video card cammed out of the slot. It looked plug in till I pushed down the back of the card and it dropped 1/8". May be what some of the other members with "no signal" problems are having. It was screwed in place, just the back side was not seated.
