I have a Socket A Motherboard CPU combo that is 333FSB with no memory. I also have a gig of DDR 400 (PC3200) memory just sittin round doin nothin. Can I install this DDR 400 in this board? If I set everything up for 166Mzh and 333FSB will this memory just cycle down and function or will it not work at all?

Thanks

I'm thinking *maybe*, like you are.
Thought I'd reply that I'm curious, too.
I have a socket A, 266FSB

DDR was designed to be backwards compatible, so in theory it should work. But if you motherbord will agree is an other matter.
