There are 00064215 files but i cant determine the type..

Hi buffythemouse

Let's try this:

Click Start/Run/and type: cmd

Hit enter. In the box that appears paste the following line:
QUOTE
rd \\?\c:\recycler\nprotect /s

Hit enter, then type "y" then hit enter again. Then exit. By the way, i tried this and found that the only way you can paste the line in is by right clicking and pressing paste.

Then reboot and tell me if the folder is gone.

I have already tried that sorry and it still remains. could it be due to the fact i moved the folder concerned.
I used search found it and copy\cut and pasted it to my desktop.
I believe it resides in the windows folder as a hidden file c\recycler\nprotect but i cant find the recycler folder

Yes the command won't work without it being in that location. I'm not sure what to do - i have an idea what we should do but i'm not 100% sure. I think it would be better to wait for someone comes up with another fix. I don't want anything going drastically wrong.

Do you know how to get the computer into safe mode? Try deleting the folder from there.
