Today is "Pi Day!" because the date makes up the first two digits of pi. March is 3, and today is the 14. So when you write out the date you get 3/14 smile.gif

Let's not forget 3.14s cousin, 6.28 which is a constant in many electronic calculations.

How so?

One example,

COULOMB. A measure of the quantity of electricity. One coulomb is equal to 6.28 x 1018 electrons.

Intersting, I also did a little research. You'll be surprised how often phi shows up everywhere.
