It might be something as simple as the MAC Filtering that has it blocked.
Enter the router interface and find the MAC Filter setting and add the MAC Address off the wireless card.
If this doesn't fix it supply all the info. as possible.
I am assuming you have DSL.
Are you coming off the DSL Modem to a Router or is it an All-in-One model??
Make & Model of the router??
Make & Model of Wireless Card??
Did you say you have a WinXP system set up and running??
the laptop was set up for use with a telephone line
the router is an wanadoo A7A2
wireless card is an BT voyager 1065
yes i have the windows xp set up on my pc with the wireless unit supplied by wanadoo
what did you mean by MAC??
thanks for your help so far
