Well, you're almost exactly 11 years younger than me.

I am so touched by everyone's wishes! This was definitely my favorite birthday present so far. Thank you all so very much. The cakes were delicious, CGM3 and Pandy!
A quick birthday story for y'all. Sorta.
My grandfather's birthday is November 10th, which happened to be my mother's due date for me. So, grandpa is drinking with his buddies, excited and eager for me to come into the world. I was born soon after midnight, terribly upsetting my grandfather so much that he yelled at mother for not 'hurrying up'. I love telling that story. Happy Birthday Grandpa! (He passed away early 1983).
Incidently, as silly as it may sound, I truly feel honored to have been born on this date. It's a constant reminder that this is Veteran's Day just by trying to go out for dinner. I stopped doing that years ago. But the tears would always well up in my eyes seeing all these seniors, veterans, and their families at restaurants. I knew why they were there and I'm sure they all had stories to tell the younger generations. I wish I was able to do that with Grandpa.
So, on this special day, I wish all of you a Veteran's Day that's hopefully more meaningful than the one before. Share stories with grandparents if you still have them around. And, to all our soldiers, past and present, I am truly grateful for your service. I know my grandfather, a WWII veteran, is very proud too.

Thanks so very much all of you. You've made this a special day for me.
