About a week ago my computer started running slow. I have dhl but my internet is slower than dial up. I keep getting messages like Explorer has caused an error in Kernel32.DLL. and Explorer has caused an error in MSXML3.DLL. Also I have been getting runtime error 26 a lot. I have NortonAnti Virus and it runs everyday. Today I was looking at my NortonAnti virus and I found something that confused me. On 2/26/06 NortonAnti Virus scanned 172,000 plus files and on 3/7/06 it scanned 208,000 plus files. I have no idea what or where those 36,000 plus files came from. If anyone can give me any helpful advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Kernel32 manages several different things from Memory Management, I/O Operations, & Interrupts.
Here is the list:
Damaged swap file
File allocation damage
Damaged password list
Damaged or incorrect version of the KERNEL32.DLL file
Damaged registry
Hardware, hot CPU, over clocking, broken power supply, RF noise, ground
bounce, or bad hard disk controller
BIOS settings for Wait states, RAM timing, or other BIOS settings
Third-party software that is damaged or incorrectly installed
.DLL files that are saved to the desktop
Non-existent or broken Temp folder
A control panel (.CPL) file is damaged
Incorrect or damaged hardware driver
Incorrectly installed printer drivers or HP Jetadmin drivers
Damaged Java Machine
Damaged .LOG files
Damaged entries in the History folder
Incompatible or damaged dynamic link library files
Viruses
Damaged or incorrect MSINFO32.EXE file
Low disk space

Lets start with doing a good cleaning and make sure you are spyware & malware clean.

Do you have MS Office??
Please supply your OS Version.
This may be caused by spyware and might clear up during the cleaning, if not we will deal with it afterwards.


I believe this is caused by javascript error.
Look in Add & Remove programs for your Java App. if there is none or an out dated one you can download the updated one from here:

Uninstall the old version first.

If I try to download any program I get this message.

Internet Explorer cannot download "file name"
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.
Please try again later.

It is possible that your winsock stack is broke.
Put this fix on a floppy disk and run it.

Download w2fix.exe to the desktop. (Important: w2fix.exe cannot be run from a floppy disk as the program reboots the computer and a floppy disk would interfere with the boot sequence.)

It says not to put it on a floppy disk.
