Dell pc, NEC monitor. Lexmark 6150 scanner/printer/fax. Fax and scanner work perfectly. Printer will not initiate the install from the cd-rom. Attached by USB cable. Gone through all the troubleshooting in the owner's manual and Lexmark site. I'm taking survey: how many times do you think the printer will bounce after I throw it down the stairs? I hit print in the drop down menu as well as the icon and nothing. All the sites I went to state it means the monitor is not recognized (duh) but not how to resolve. I uninstalled and reinstall, did the hokey-pokey and spun the printer around---nothing. Ideas?

Have you tryed removing the drivers via Add & Remove progams then try to reinstall it??

Delete the printer from the device manager also before rebooting after uninstalling the drivers and software.
