We originally connected via dial up through Walmart ISP. We have recently switched to a broadband Cable connection. However, we are unable to connect to Walmart web mail to read our email. We have been advised that we may need an "adaptor". ?? How can we access our walmart email through the broadband connection?

I don't know how Wal-Mart connect works. It looks like rebranded AOL or Compuserve. But there's an access email link on this page. hth

If you can use the internet, and browse to other sites, you should be able to get to your Walmart E-mail account without an "adaptor." You do need to enable cookies and Javascript to use their login.
From their FAQ:

Can I check email on any computer?
You can check your email on any PC that has the Wal-Mart Connect software installed.

And even though Walmart has moved to Netscape, they say they will maintain and support current Walmart Connect accounts. Are you sure that if you cancel your WC account, they do not delete your E-mail account?

When you attempt to log in to your E-mail account, precisely what happens? How far do you get in the process?

John
