I'm using MusicMatch, getting really fast playback and ripping of MP3's. Fast means it is too fast on playback, sounds odd. The resulting MP3's are useless.

I dug in and found something called "DAE speed" in MusicMatch help. If one sets this to a slower setting it should work. The question is, where does one adjust DAE speed? I couldn't find it anywhere in the entire system. MusicMatch just has its useless settings page that does not even include DAE speed (which I discovered from a web search means "digital audio extraction" speed.)

Really puzzled now.

I tried that. I could find no place in MusicMatch that had anything to do with DAE speed. I thought it might be a function of the computer. All it had was this same old settings window, with its advanced recording settings. Nothing about extraction speeds.

You've found exactly the right thing tho; it's just that my version does not have those settings available.

Perhaps the solution is an MP3 ripping program that's easier to use?

Would about a great alternative such as iTunes for WIndows? I use it all the time. Take a look:

You can play/rip mp3's to CD's and lots of other functions

I should mention that this problem is not just limited to MusicMatch; it does the same in any program playing a CD or ripping an MP3.

Windoze ME is the OS.
