My OS is ME and I am wanting to know how to copy program files to a CD-R so I can reload them at a later date if my system crashes. I have a CD-RW drive and NTI CD Maker 7 burning software. Thanks in advance.

I am not familar with that software, but it should have a selection that allows you to "Make a data CD". It will give you a window to place files/folders in. Open My Computer to the file/folder to wish to copy, then left click, hold and drag into the CD Maker target window. When the files/folder appears, select the burn/write/copy button to proceed to the next step. It should be that easy.
Nero is very simple if you are looking for an alternative.

PS--check the application's HELP file to understand how to configure it to allow multiple sessions! That way you can add to what you have put on the disk at another time, providing there is space enough on the disk to fit the data.

Thanks for the replies. I did just like alklan said with winzip 7, uninstalled it and I couldn't get it to reinstall right so I haven't tried again but will do so. Thanks again.
