I have had spysheriff on my computer and got rid of the actual program with delete programs, but i still have some problems with the computer, namely loss of wallpaper, this has been replaced a flashing white and beige screen. I have tried using restore points but windows tells me it cannot restore! Can any body help? I have used ad-aware, spybot and microsoft antispyware and between them they found 142 items. The computer is a Sony vaio 3.2ghz pentium 4 with 512MB ram.

It could be a couple of things.

1. Perhaps you have not completely removed the infection. Instructions for it's removal can be found HERE.

2. You have completely removed the infection and parts of Windows are broken from it's removal. This is not unusual, but I would not attempt a repair at this point until you have completed ALL of the steps in the removal link above, and then come back into this forum and we can help you get the computer back to normal.
