Hi

I recently had a problem where my cd burner would not burn after completing 5% (using nero) , after much mucking about i bit the bullet and bought a new writer (lite- on), problem fixed, it was great, i emphasis the word 'was', it is now doing the exact same thing, burning until it reaches 5% and then just waiting for around 15minutes before delivering a lovely 'failed ' message.
please help!

Eek. That's bad . When that happened to me, it turned out my cd drive had died, and I had to send it in to get it fixed!

Your cd drive may very well be dieing. Hopefully, it may just be that the lens on the cd drive needs cleaning. If you are not under warrenty, you mght try that. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you. It stinks, I know!
