Can anyone tell me how to fix my version 6 adobe reader? When I download a paper, manual, etc., it comes out a bunch of numbers and symbols instead of words. I must have changed something recently?? Help!!
I wanted to download version 7 but with windows 98, I could not do it. Thanks. You can email me at:

The easiest thing to do in this situation is to uninstall Adobe through Add/Remove Programs and then reinstall it.

You might also change to Foxit Reader (free) which is leaner and less subject to Adobe's problems.

Actually in add/remove once you click on un-install Adobe Reader there will be an option for repair.

Thanks for posting Scarlett, I didn't know that smile.gif

Hey your welcome. smile.gif
One just has to be sure to tick the correct radio button.
Because (I think) that the one for un-install is ticked by default.
