I am running Windows 2003 Enterprise and despite removing alt.exe from my start up it keeps respawning in my windows system folder and and will occasionally readd itself to my msconfig. I have tried Symantec, Mcaffee, Spy Cleaner, Spy Blaster, Spybot Search and Destroy and numerous other tools even in safe mode and nothing seems to remove it. I also have traces of winhound I removed the junk from registry and ran a reg cleaner but its still not allowing me to even change my desktop wall paper. I really need help removing this Alt.exe and traces of Winhound. Renaming it simply makes it spawn another copy.
