I use Kaspersky anti-virus personal on my computer but lately I have been having problems with my computer and I have followed bleeping computers guide to hopefully remove any viruses or what ever there is on here.

The problem is I used the free online virus scanner on BitDefender which told me I have about 5 viruses which it cannot remove itself. So why is it Kaspersky does not pick these viruses up for me? and how can I now remove these viruses?

DamSexy:

Make sure that your antivirus program is fully updated with the latest virus detection files.
Boot your computer from safe mode.
Open you antivirus program. Run a full scan.
Remove/fix any items found.

Could you also report back with the names/files/locations that BitDefender said were infected with a virus.

This is where it is situated:

C:\Documents and Settings\DamSexy\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\loaderadv698.jar-e18f163-1c2e078a.zip=>Dummy.class (BAD CRC)

I was told that the disinfection had failed.

Kaspersky is completely up to date so I can not understand why it will not detect it?

You can clear the cache directory in the Java Runtime Environment.

To do this, please following the steps in the link below:

Clearing the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Cache

After doing this, try to run the BitDefender scan again to see if anything is detected.

Let us know if that helped.
