My email client, Mozilla Thunderbird Ver 1.5RC2, is behaving strangely. It starts up during Windows XP Pro startup although I have not set it up to start at startup. Then, when I stop it by clicking on the X button on the window frame or by any other means, it springs back to life right away. It keeps acquiring system memory at an alarming rate until the system hangs !!
I am running Avast Antivirus, Microsoft Antispyware and Prevx1R. All of them are reporting clean scans of the machine.
Only thing I have done different from other machines, where Thunderbird is running fine, is I have shut down a few XP Services to conserve resources. I checked for these services on the internet and took only those services down that are widely believed to be non-critical and not necessary for my environment.
Can you help?
Thanks.
