Not real sure just where this post belongs? I scanned my computer with an online spyware scanner that found about 40 objects it said needed to be addresses.....most of them were cookies, which I do delete on a regular basis.....I also run spybot and adaware on a regular basis. I use AVG virus scanner and have Zone ALarm running.
This trial scan is trying to see you a subscription so you can't "fix" the problems it finds. I am curious about some of them I have copied some of them and would like for someone to tell me just what they are??

Hi Katy24,

Well the first one comes up as spyware DYFUCA - see here for details:
Trend Micro Dyfuca details

As to the others you can probably google as well as I can. wink.gif

There is no need for you to pay for virus or spyware removal, there are excellent anti-spyware and anti-virus programs available for free. See the BC compendium of recommended Freeware:
Recommended Freeware

These are my instructions for a first step in cleaning up your system:

Is your Anti-virus program current and updated? If not you can download a free anti-virus program here (US Link): AVG Free
When you have downloaded and installed it you need to go online to register it and update it. (It will probably prompt you to do this.)
Once you have installed AVG uninstall your old Anti-Virus software because you should only have one running on your system.

Do you have a range of anti-spyware installed? If not download and update all of the following:Reboot your computer in Safe Mode and run the anti-virus scan and all the anti-spyware scans there.
If you are not sure how to boot in Safe Mode there is a tutorial here: Safe Mode

See if that helps smile.gif

yes I have AVG...it's up to date and runs all the time....I have Zone Alarm...and it's on and current. I update and run ad aware and spybot regularly. I have ran them and they say nothing about these things that this scan turned up?? are these just changes that the spyware made to my registry??
I will download the other utilities and see what they turn up
thanks
