My wife opened an E-mail file that contained Lodear.G. Use a firewall didn't
have Norton installed yet.

When the computer boots it says "fatal error" in regards to Winlog.exe.
Cannot install anti-virus program. Have followed Symantec's instructions
and believe I have gotten rid of the virus. Computer still acting screwy.

Do I delete Winlog.exe?

If you've removed teh virus, then you could try performing a repair installation from your Win CD.

Winlog.exe is part of teh trojan and should be deleted.

Try booting the computer up into Safe Mode and install teh AV from there.
