My Symantec Antivirus software has picked up some files that it cannot delete or quarantine. I know for a fact
that some of them are Spyware (Spybot), as I have deleted some worms already, but I don't know why it says it cannot delete them. My computer slows down SEVERELY after 5 minutes of use. I do not have administration rights on the pc, and I will not ever be able to get them. That isn't why I can't delete them, though. It also is unable to quarantine them. These are the files:

Filename - Virus Name

qef98.tmp - W32.Spybot.worm

email-AV.exe - W32.HLLW.Gaobot

.exe - W32.Mocbot.A

.exe - W32.Mocbot.A

.exe - W32.Mocbot.A

.exe - W32.Mocbot.A

.exe - W32.Mocbot.A

If I try to delete or quarantine them, it says:

Symantec Antivirus cannot perform this action on 2 of the files you selected.

Possible Causes
-The files have been moved or deleted.
-The computer they are located on is turned off.
-You are trying to clean files located in an email message.

When I press ok, The operation fails on all 7 files.

I am using Windows 2000, Symantec Antivirus Corporate edition (Fully updated), And am unable to gain administrator priveleges.

Can you help me? huh.gif

Some virus need specialised tools to remove. See f they are listed in one sites. I would start with MacAfee since they identified the virus...

Removal Tools
Kaspersky Removal Tools
AVG Manual Virus Removal tool
MacAfee Stinger Virus Removal Tool
Symantec's Viurs Removal Tools

Thank you. There was a Gaobot remover in there, but, unfortunately, I need administrator rights. -_-

Is there anything else I can do?
