My right and left shift keys on me keyboard have remapped to gobblygook making internet IE 5.5 and emailing Hotmail almost impossible as cant get an at sign to appear, they also dont work in any other programs

right shift brings up the following +&*()_~~ and also initialises right key mouse function

where as left shift will bring up capitalised q in first available field and help on what ever program that is in

I have tried to resinstall keyboard and language, but problem still remains and there are no hardware conflicts.

Is there any way to re map these keys and if so how...

Also,

Problem, is now intermittent , it works sometimes, but not often...... Have reinstalled and unistall keyboard, and various other things, including virus scan (avast), error scan (Reg Fix), bug scan (Bug Doctor)... and spyware scan (Xoft Spy)... nada

Have heard may be sticky keys but dont know what to do , all i get is keyboard type, and the language option when looking at keyboard options.

Have downloaded Keyboard Layout Manager, and Kernel toys for remapper which says all is good with keys but the the problems still persists...

TBH, I'd try re-installing win 95, or upgrade to 98SE - you should be able to pick up a disk on ebay for a few pounds (dollars).
