Hi All,
A few weeks ago I received this message. I have been on with Dell twice trying to correct
the problem. We have tried reinstalling the drivers and nothing happens. I am completely
clueless when it comes to computers as the most technical I am is knowing how to plug it
in and turn it on.
The have walked me through a few things, but nothing seems to work, now they are
telling me to remove the hard drive (what ?? ) its a Dell Inspiron 8100 which I got
from my brother. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do to correct
this ?

Could you describe the problem in a little more detail? When did it start? What drives, HD CDrom CDRW DVD..., do you have installed. What BIOS and CPU is the computer using? Was it a work place computer before your brother had it?

Tell us exactly what happens as you try to boot it up, including all error messages (exactly as they are displayed).
Does it boot or does it hang on the error message?
