A friend has e-mailed me a .pps file. Unfortunately I do not have powerpoint on my pc. I only have the basic Microsoft Office 2003, which only contains MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. Is there a free piece of software I can use to view .pps files except Powerpoint, which I cannot afford at the moment? Thanks.

OpenOfficeYou will also need
Java Run Time to use all the features. Install Java first.

You could also use
Xnview .
It will read more than 400 graphic file formats, and write to about 50.
It's also, free.

With Open Office you can also create and modify MS Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access). Just thought I would meniton it.
Good luck.
