I have recently set up a network including the main desktop and a laptop.

The problem is internet access is fine on both machines however I can't connect to the online multiplayer option on one of my games. I get a message 'failed to connect'.

I'm guessing that it has something to do with the firewall but I just don't have a clue.

I'm completely new to this kind of thing so excuse my ignorance.

Tell us something about your network, your systems, your game and your firewall and maybe we can help.

Temporarly disable your firewall and then try the game, if you still get the error message that means it is not your firewall.

If you fix it on your own, please let us know. Your fix could help others.
