~ I would just like to add that the lunar eclipse tonight was abso-tively gorgeous. Did anyone else get to see it? It was big, beautiful and very orange. I saw it at about 10:30 or so (EDST). And so eerie. hehe
And as of 11:41.. it has gotten blood red now. It is so strange looking. It is even more red now than earlier.

quiverI missed the eclipse...I was too tired and actually forgot to go out and look, even though I was on top of what time it was. Glad you enjoyed it Pandy. An awesome experience I had was watching the geminoid meteor showers all night in December of '95, in the back of a hatchback with a good view.

jgweed, you do not comprehend the real meaning of "MU". (But keep working on it.)
(A Japanese cow only says uum, uum....
But no matter, since one must have a compass first, only then could one even begin to appreciate the usefulness of an astrolabe - a much more rudimentary instrument than a primitive sextant as rarely used today.
(Did I mention I'm an ex-sailor of 30+ years - or have you all figured that out already.)
