As many of you who may have noticed, and if you havent shame on you

, the forums have been reorganized. This was done because I felt that the way they were previously it was difficult to determine where a member should post their questions or look for their answers. I have created a few forums and merged some others. Please look around, explore and tell me what you think.
Thanks

Also does anyone think a forum for people to post pictures or links to albums of pictures would be fun to have here?

Would it be possible to have add another link between My Control Panel and View New Posts. Even though there is one in your Control Panel, it would be convient to have a 'My Recent posts' link there. It would save having to go to to move around to find it.
Edited: I wonder if I could include that link as part of my signature...?

Yes,
Grinler I think a forum for everyone to post picture's or link's to album's would be wonderful! What a great idea!

I'm sure other's

would agree.

Click the link that I just placed in my signature. When I click it, it will come up with the posts that I have recently done. I am not sure how it will come up with someone else's screen.
Currently, if I click View New Posts link, it will display the links that have new posts to them. If I do not read all of them, such as the Hi Jack This logs, then it will not come as a new post, but it will be listed for a few times. Eventually, the logs will drop from the list. The problem with this, is if I do not pay attention to the other pages of new posts, then evenually they will be dropped from the new posts. If I have posted to a thread, it will show up when I click Participating Topics, found in My Control Panel. Often, I will click this link to find if any new information has been posted to the threads that I have responded to.
I know it sounds complicated. If you like, I will post back w/ some pics

So you want a link up top like my control panel or new posts, that acts as the 7 day particpating topics?
Scarlett,
Adding it now

Yes, but only if it can be done.

Scarlett,
Adding it now
Fantastic!

I'd also like to thank
JEservices for the idea of an easy access {personal} recent post link. And
Grinler for applying it.

BTW the way you have reorganized B.C. turned out really well!

Glad you all liked it. I think its going to be easier for members to start posting. Tyring to get BC as user friendly as I can.

Reorganization of the forums looks good, Grinler.
Nobody should have any problems trying to figure out where to post now.
Already tried out the new "Photo Albums and Images" forum.
You're doing a great job with this board Grinler.
Keep up the good work.

The reorg is great. But take a look at the contents of business applications, there seems to be extraneous threads still there. Maybe putting all the different application forums together would help people make the correct choice.

Yeah I have not had the chance to really go through the forums and move those topics that did not belong. I will think about combining all of them. Though would like to keep some division.

I was not thinking of combining all of them into one, just putting each current section under a general application block. An user could then travel to the block and easily seach for the subsection category of interest.
Cheers,
John

Not sure what you mean..isnt that kinda like what it is now?
I am actually toying with combining the business application, all other software, and games into one forum. Do you think that would get messy?
jgweed

Yes, I sure do think it would get messy.
Maybe just leave things as they are for a time and see what happens; the new arrangement is a big improvement anyway, and if you end up moving a bunch of posts around in the future, that would guide you in doing any minor revisions.
Regards,
John
