In my PC build I will be purchasing a combination router/print server and was wondering if I should go with one that has a USB connection for the printer or a parallel connection for the printer?

My printer is an HP 895Cse and it has both a USB connection and a parallel connection.

What are the pros and cons of each type of connection to a print server?

The two units I am looking at are as follows:

EDIMAX Broadband Router, 1 WAN + 4 Switching Port + 1 Port Print Server, Model BR-6104P - $32.99
D-Link 4-port Broadband Router plus USB Print Server, Model DI-704UP - $58.00

Thanks!

The choice would be USB hands down. Even though your current printer has both, then standard has become to be USB only. As far as transfer speeds go, even USB 1.0 is faster then parallel.
