they'll just stick to hosting "SNL" - if ever invited again.

No need to duck and run.
But.... I think that you need to adjust your tele. (sp)

Maybe you should just get a new one. I think after what you said, it is a lost cause.

A woman president would be fine. I would expect her to follow the highest standards as set by her male predecessors. Er... emmm I would expect her to uphold the standards of our congressmen/women... hmmm...
If she is the best candidate, and projects strength in leadership, can be compassionate to those who need it and can understand how to balance a checkbook, she has my vote. Hilary is still a no.

A battle of the wits between Dr Rice and her opponents simply wouldn't be a fair fight because her opponents are unarmed(in terms of wits).

Not everything about the Clinton presidency was bad. Keep in mind that when Clinton left, we had the largest budget surplus... EVER. By the end of Bush's first year in office, he had spent more than double that... 5.5 trillion dollars.
I can't say whether or not I would vote for Hilary because I don't know where she stands on many issues. I don't mean to cause any offense, but it seems like some people are blaming Hilary for Bill's mistakes.

I took a speach class while Billary was in office. My assignments included analyzing a couple of recent speeches. One By Hilary, one by Liz Dole. Liz Dole is intelligent, witty, and not radical. Hilary's speech at the time was radical, ignorant of the sistuation in the part of the world she was giving the speech in, and peddling to the lowest common denominator. I actually remember her using the phrase "fast food chefs", back when I was just such a "chef".
Radical, Dangerous trailer trash. Listen to some of her speeches.

I don't think Hilary Clinton is what the public really wants and I don't think she is not qualified. She may have been in the white house and she probably knows how things run there more than 99% of Americans do. However I don't think she will be the first woman president.
Condi on the other hand, I think would be quilfied and possibly might win an election. However, not being reacist here, I think there would probably be a white woman in office before a black woman in office. Because once Americans realize that a president doesn't have to be a white male president, then I think Americans will slowly open up.

What The Who

Ok, so this is geting a little off topic but...
By the time 9/11 happened, Bush had already spent the budget surplus left by Clinton plus about a trillion dollars. Also, I was referring to what Bush spent in his first year in office. Iraq didn't start until Bush's 3rd year in office.

Ok, not that I am particularly looking forward to the day that a woman becomes president, but here is how I see it.
First, the world isnt ready for a woman to be at the helm of the worlds biggest superpower. The biggest area of tension in the world is the middle east. You can only imagine the fallout if a woman were in charge.
Second, for the possibility of a woman president any time in the next century, the first woman candidate needs to be someone who can win. If the first woman to run gets her butt kicked, that will discourage other women from running and people from voting for women in the future.
So no, not only would I not vote for Hillary, but I would hate to see her run in the first place.

Hilary (or Condi or whoever else) would not be the first female candidate. There were actually quite a few in the past;
Women Presidential CandidatesSome of those listed above were not running in the US, and most of them running in the US never made it past the primaries. But they tried none the less, and that's what really matters. I think it'd be great to have more female leaders in the world, then we could get past all of this "male sexual organ" envy and work towards common goals, like world peace and an end to poverty.
Note; I had to type "male sexual organ" because when I type the "P" word it shows up as "bleep".

I don't think world peace is going to happen any time in our life time. With S. KOrea and N. Korea mad at each other and many other countries ripping at each other it will never happen. Hilary would also be a bad choice because in 2008 there is still a large chance that we will have large military action going on in the middle east and with a president with no or little military experience, that would be BAD!

I really don't see Hillary as president for the simple fact that the US won't vote for a female/ethnic president for quite some time. Even if she were to run, there are a multitude of reasons why people won't vote for her, not just because she isn't qualified.
There was a New York Times poll (i think...) that asked americans about their election opinions. I think around 40% wouldn't vote for a
well-qualified Arab candidate (even if born in the US), and around 60% wouldn't vote for a
well-qualified atheist candidate.
Just goes to show that the possible presidential quality someone has doesn't have nearly the impact of what it should.
EDIT: That being said, i really hope Hillary isn't our next president. I seriously doubt she's anywhere near qualified, and the sheer fact that she's married to Bill would split our country apart even more than it is now.
