Maybe I was the last person on the planet to find out about this online store but it was a suprise when I came across it a few months back. I checked it out again recently and realised I had so much fun browsing I must share. ThinkGeek

Geek slogans on T-shirts is one section of the site:

It means to beat or dominate an opponent. ph34r.gif
Lanscader
It is also a synonym for "own", and it probably originated as a type when someone tried to type "own" and missed the "o".

Oh, in case you didn't know, it's pronounced "pone" (like own with a p in front)

In reference to the history of "pwn." One of my friends said, it came from an old Warcraft or Starcraft map someone made and in the "description," someone mistyped "own" and it appeared as "pwn."

Not sure if its true, but it very well could be, because Starcraft is a very old game (1997).
