Can anyone help me please!
Have learned HTML + CSS and now want to start learning Perl but when i go along to www.perl.com i get confused incase i choose the wrong version. Just wonder if anyone would be kind enough to help anf tell me the best version for a numpty like myself to download and start to learn. Would appreciate any other advice you could give on the subject. I am running Windows XP. Is there anything else i need to start learning Perl? Many thanks. MB

Don't forget a good text-editor. I suppose you have your favorite already, but for others who come upon the thread: I like JEdit at -
http://www.jedit.org/index.php?page=download . I'm just learning myself, but "The Beginner's guide to Perl" by Simon Cozens has been the clearest for me personally.
