Seveal months ago I downloaded and CONFIGURED AdAware 6. 181.
Now I see there is a new free version = 1.5. I would like to get it but have
a couple of questions:
1. do I have to uninstall the 6.181
2. do I have to turn off NAV. please help.... missfilippa

Do not turn off your anti-virus.

You can uninstall Adaware 6.181 from Add/Remove programs, but the Ad-Aware SE installation routine will find and remove older versions so manually uninstalling 6.181 is not necessary.

Download Ad-aware SE v1.05 from LavaSoft. Install, update and configure it as explained in this tutorial.
