I go to ebay! Those store prices are outrageous!

For my HP PSC3000 printer we usually get ours at OfficeMax, however like CowsGoneMadd3 said, those prices are outragoues. $50 for the 2 cartridges.
However you can buy a new printer with ink at Wal-Mart for $30.

How ironic, eh?

I also support the great prices that ebay has for ink cartridges.

I know its not environmentally friendly but if you look around you can get a printer for free after the rebate. So buy a new one and pass the other one on or throw it out. The fact they give these printers away after rebates indicates to me how much profit there is in ink cartridges.

Thanks all!!
I will check out E-bay and look around for printers and rebates. What a strange deal!!
I could pass on the printer to a school or something.
Again thanks,

I often see printers free after rebates in the papers from stores like Walmart,Circuit City and Best buy.
Only problem is sometimes they dont sell that printer long and when the ink runs out you have to buy a different model and install more new drivers...

Hi diego88, long time no see or hear.
I've discovered over the years that there is no better way to shop than online. Whether you use Ebay or just Froogle for what you're looking for, I think that's best. Retail prices are insane. I had been looking for black ink for my all-in-one online when I found I can get 3 for the retail price of 1 in the local stores. Yeah, made the purchase online. Who wouldn't go for that?
Good luck, my friend.

At Walmart ink for my Epson is $70 ($65 + tax). I picked up all 7 cartridges for $2 per and $5 shipping on Ebay.

Hi again!!
I ended up needing ink right away so this time I did get it at Wal-mart. They had a double pack (1 color, 1 black) for $50. It was a few dollars more if I were to buy them seperate.
Next time I will allow more time to shop. Perhaps for a printer as suggested and especially online. That's strange that prices are so low on e-bay. I wonder where they get that stuff. The quality is good??
Thanks

I don't normally use ebay, but this thread got me curious. I too am sick of paying outragious prices for injet ink cartridges.
I did see good prices on ebay, but I also noted that virtually every listing I looked at in detail noted that the ink cartridges were 'expired'. Whether that would be a real problem or not I do not know.

ddeerrff I have 3 kids in school so I guess it goes without saying I go thru a bunch of ink. I have a HP G85i and a Epson RX500. We go thru 1 to 4 cartridge a month. I buy the compatible instead of the name brand and have not received a bad cartridge yet. Can't say the next one I pop in won't mess up the printer, but I have had good luck for the passed 4 years.
