Hi,

This could be classed as a bit 'childish' for these forums, but does anyone have any idea where i can get decent icons for my journal and avatars for different forums. I have done research as i dont really like to bother people on here, especially about this sort of thing.

Also any information about how to create your own .gif type moving images and any freeware programs that i may need todo this would help. Thanks. Sorry if in wrong place.

To create animated gif's you can try using a Trial version of Macromedia Fireworks or Flash.

I'm not too sure what you mean about "decent" avatar, but I think the forums here offer some good starters.

There are some interesting threads in the graphics design and video editing forum, as I remember.

As far as animated gifs go, I was fortunate to find the one I have here, or at least I think I'm fortunate. But I have made a few using Adobe Image Ready.

I discovered that the best way to "find" avatars is to simply find an image that you like, and then crop and/or resize it to an avatar, using an image editor like Photoshop, and then save it as a jpg or whatever.

The best avatars are the ones that you make from images that you like.

You can also use Google images to search for interesting avatars.

I am not any kind of a computer wiz so i just went to google images and typed in: 'Gamcock'
Then i sifted through until i found what i liked.

I also found a moving one on google.

As for sigs and such...I've told other members the same thing...
I can't think of a better place than our own Graphics Design and Photo Editing
That's where all my sigs were made.
