Hi, I hope that someone can help me here.
My notebook is operating fine with Kaspersky A/V and Prevxx Edge which I have used for a couple of years now.
However this AM I started computer and the Windows log on sound was with static and slow and then I tried to watch a you tube and it was in slo mo, for both the sound and video.
I checked the Device Manager and it indicated codecs and legacy audio were perfroming OK.
I tried a CD and it was working fine.
I tried a DVD and both video and sound were fine.
I tried a saved You Tube file and it played fine.

I am not a tech and don't know what to do?
I tried to google my problem and didn't find anything exactly the same and so I hope an experienced member(s) here may have an idea of what I should do.

I am posting the solution here in the event that another member becomes fraught with this horrid situation that has taken me a day to figure out.
This is what cured the problem:

Start> Run> msconfig>Disable All>OK and Reboot and tried several formerly failed video sites and 'voila' they worked.
Then went back and "Enabled All" and Rebooted and they are all streaming fine.
I did another reboot and all is well.
Just thought that I should post this.
Cheers!
