I have a large excel file and font color has value. For example, a black font means the device is active, red tfont terminated and blue font is on hold. Is there a way to sort items by font color. Currently these items are randomly placed in the file. Ther is no another to tell the items apart except by font color.

You could try this:
http://www.ozgrid.com/VBA/Sort.htmI've never used it before so try it at your own risk.

If you use Excel 2007 you can sort by colour.
Or rather, you can bring all the items of one colour to the top, so if you use a multi-level sort you can choose exactly what order to sort your items, by font or cell background colour.
