Full Version: Does someone want to actually help or say something? Internet randomly turns off when accessing the web

I don't know if this is just a regular problem or something or it's just too broad or whatever. Does someone mind actually trying to answer or something? It gets kinda frustrating when there isn't even anyone trying to say something to help.

Well...I'm using the Window Vista Home Professional Edition so I don't know if that has to do with anything but for some reason, after I surf the web for a certain amount of time (or when I change websites quickly), either Firefox loses connection to the internet or the computer itself loses connection to the internet. When switching back to IE and surfing the web for a while, the computer itself seems to not send any signal to the internet (reaching the point of where I can't get anything from the web, so far AIM messages have been an exclusion to this). I can access AIM but when trying to go online to play a game (through searching for servers so it might be how the computer is receiving/sending signal?, not playing the game itself) or surf the web, I can't access it.
The only way to solve this problem is that I restart the computer. Though when the computer seems to not be able to connect to the internet, it takes the computer an awfully long time to restart (including logging off and what not) - 2+ minutes.

I have also constantly scanned the computer using AVG,Dr. Web, Avast, or the Windows Security scan thingy. This also includes defragging the computer and checking the disk (scan for and recovery of bad sectors).

I have posted this before in the infected area and since I have checked the infected area (in which the person led me here), I was hoping if there is someone who could solve this.

Thank you and any help would be appreciated.

Have you called your ISP to verify that you are getting a good signal? I had a system do that a few years back. I talked to the ISP and it turned out that they had oversold the trunk, so there was not enough available bandwidth. They dropped in some new lines, and everything was great again.

EDIT: Not that I need to remind you, but all the people that help on the site are volunteers. We do the best to help where we can, when we can. ")

Having too many anti virus software means they often argue with each other, just have 1 main anti virus softwasre ( i have AVG (paid edition) ) I have also got advanced system care free http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCa...4-10407614.html
This has lots of options to clean up and optimize your computer, also the Smart Defrag it has is one of the best Its so much better then anything else, I used it and it cleared up so many problems and so much junk, there is also a internet optimize feature which may fix the problems if what u saud before doesnt help.

Thanks, I'll try both options and I understand and apologize about my frustration towards the volunteer thing. I just felt frustrated because I tried two weeks ago and a week ago to see if there was something to help after being resent from the malware/virus section.
