Lanscader
I thought I could apply the same concept of the Song Burst game to movies. Let's see how it goes. Basically, I'll post a line (or 2) from a movie, and after someone guesses it right, someone else can pose a movie line.

Oh, try to post lines that are unique-ish. Ie: "Follow the yellow brick road", "Use the Force", "This isn't mission, difficult. It's mission impossible" (though that's a dead giveaway...). Lines like "No, I don't want to" can be traced to just about anywhere. Anyways, moving on...

Line #1

"Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?
No one understands the words that are coming out of your mouth, Lee"

Either movies of the series are acceptable (as similar lines appear in each).
Pandy
lol Funny stuff there.. ok I wanna try this one.. Rush Hour! lol

OK..

"We're taking orders from a guy who's brain is being powered by lemons"

This could be a real fun thread.. good idea Lanscader w00t.gif
Lanscader
I'm suprised I even decided to start it...I have almost no movie experience.

I think I know the movie yours is from, but I had to google it, so I won't post it...yet (Someone beat me!!!!).
Pandy
Go ahead and say lanscader. Googling is OK. Anyway you find out is fine. lol
Lanscader
Well, I'd say "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy".

Assuming I'm correct...

"'I am Asneeze, father of Achoo.'
'Bless you.'"
Pandy
Yup you got that right lanscader.

Oh man... Robinhood, Men in Tights! lmao

One of the funniest movies ever.

..."Mama? When did Ben Franklin invent electricity?"

"That's nonsense! I invented electricity! Ben Franklin is the Devil!"
b3nje
i had to register just so i could post to this seen as though no1 had replied...

Adam Sandler in WATER BOY!!!

How about an easy one..."may i have a sip of your tasty beverage to wash this burger down"
I believe that is nearly the quote lol
deerslayer
Would that be "Pulp Fiction"????
I've got an extreamly easy one!!! Well it's easy if you have seen the movie. :lmoa:
QUOTE

Lanscader
That wouldn't happen to be Lord of the Rings, would it? Just guessing cuz of my avatar...

I've seen the 1st 2, but I don't remember that, so I might be wrong.
deerslayer
Good Guess, Lanscader.
That's it. Thats the part about you avatar. That's the only part i've seen. lol
Your turn....
Lanscader
I belive it is something like this...I might be off a little bit.

"That's not true! There was no dagger! He was killed by sword!"
"You must have seen the whole thing, didn't you?"

This movie's not in english, btw, but the subtitles are.
Lanscader
Do you give up? Should I tell you?

HINT: It's in Japanese and by the same guy who directed "Seven Samurai".
TexasAngel67
Great idea for a game! But I think everyone has given up. Foreign flicks will be twice as difficult. What movie was it?

How about this one:

"Are you a virgin? I'll bet you a million dollars that you are."
"Leave her alone. I said leave her alone."
Lanscader
Ok. It's from Rashomon. I only know that because we had to watch it in school.
boopme
Ok need a kick start?

Click your heels 3 times and say ...There's no place like home..
boopme
Well I see this is just siiting her, maybe it was too hard? So the answer is
Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz...

Try a new one " So tell me punk.....Do you feel lucky?"
PapaSmurf88
That one's easy its "Dirty Harry"

What about this one

Stop thinking good cop and start thinking Playstation, BLOW bleep UP

Have fun
Animal
That would be from the movie Triple X or XXX, however you want it stated.

*****: Are you classified as human?
******: No, I am a meat popsicle.

Be (Movie Script) Safe

Da Bleeping Animal
Pandy
OMG I LOVE THIS MOVIE! WOW heh

Multi pass Multi-pass!

The Fifth Element.

Hahahahaha Great One Animal!

Hmmmm

Now! You will become that which you have hunted so passionately.
Heretic Monkey
Gotta go with Van Hellsing on that one...

My turn:

"This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.."
Rimmer
"Clockwork Orange" ...maybe?

Here's mine:

"why can't I null this out? It's like flying with a dead elephant on your back!"

This is from "The Breakfast Club" Judd Nelson talking to Molly Ringwald and Emilio Estevez telling him to leave her alone.

Here's my clue.

" So what are you, Jacob? A faithless preacher? Or a mean motherbleeping servant of God?"

" I'm a mean hm... hm... servant of God."
Heretic Monkey
"From Dusk Til Dawn"

"How can I have "some more" if i haven't had any yet?"
"You're killin me ------!"

(left out the name, it'd be too obvious..... some of the younger members should be able to get this one w/ no problem thumbup.gif )

Apollo 13 ...Tom Hanks don't want to jump over HM, but I figured I'd answer Rimmer's
Lanscader
Well, for the sake of continuing the thread, I Googled HM's quote, and came up with The Sandlot.

Here's mine:

"If I were human, I believe my response would be: 'go to hell'. If I were human."

Captain Spock
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

Can you fly this plane and land it?
Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious.
Dr. Rumack: I am serious, and don't call me Shirley.
Lanscader
Hmm...I'll guess "Airplane", but I'm not sure so I won't put up another quote.
boopme
That's it Lanscader
Lanscader
Wow! I only saw that movie once about 4-5 years ago! Anyway...

"Go away or I'll call the Brute Squad."
"I'm on the Brute Squad."
"You are the Brute Squad!"

AL...
It's a good answer Rimmer but not correct (Donkey wasn't black smile.gif )

Hint: It's set in the not to distant future.
Rimmer
I stumbled across the quote by accident - It's Will Smith from "I Robot".

Not sure how this one will translate:
"I say we grease this rat-bleep son-of-a-bleep, right now! You're dog-meat, pal!"

(thought that one might trigger the censor. wink.gif )

Aliens

I don't know how to do the quote thing...Lanscader, you said "That wouldn't happen to be Lord of the Rings, would it? Just guessing cuz of my avatar...

I've seen the 1st 2, but I don't remember that, so I might be wrong."

That scene took place in part three. Just thought you might like the information (and give you a little incentive to watch part three)
