I know I could be using an emulator but I was just wondering, as it says in the title, could you convert .pkg (Mac) to .exe (Windows). I mean, if Windows can be used on Mac why not the other way around? (I searched for programs on Google, and I did a search here and did not come up with any similar threads.)

Thanks for any help or advice. It's rather appreciated. smile.gif

Amazing Andrew
I'm not sure I'm understanding your question. Are you asking whether it's possible to convert a program compiled for Mac OSX under Windows (no, it's not AFAIK) or whether you can run Mac OSX on non-Mac hardware? (yes, you can... maybe)

Because it is like trying to turn a Volkswagen into a Ferrari.. they both have four wheels, an engine, and all the other parts that make a car a car, but you are not going to race Le Mans with a Volkswagen.

They have different formats, different compilers, and different operating system constraints.

Yes, that was my question. And thanks for the quick response.

You cannot "convert" from a program already compiled for mac osx to windows.

But you can "compile" a program written for mac osx under windows.

Provided you modify any references to named system libraries.
